Challenge
Taiwan currently faces the highest divorce rate in Asia and the lowest birth rate in the world. Conversations around “Should we get married?” and “Should we have children?” dominate social platforms being topics that naturally intersect with decisions about buying a home.
In Taiwanese culture, marriage represents “building a home,” making newlyweds a major force in the housing market. As the leading real estate brand in Taiwan, Sinyi Realty wanted to address the marriage and fertility anxieties weighing on young people today and use this moment to reinforce its belief that trust is at the heart of every happy family.
Solution
Sinyi Realty launched “In Love We Trust,” a two-part film series featuring award-winning actors and directed by a Golden Award director. The films portray how a couple struggles through a crisis of trust—from marriage doubts to the pressures of starting a family—ultimately rediscovering what “trust” truly means in building a home together.
Each episode approached the issue through a different emotional lens:
- Episode 1 - From the woman’s perspective
Following a young woman working at a household registration office, the episode shows how witnessing countless breakups and reunions makes her question her own future. - Episode 2 - From the man’s perspective
Through his internal voice, the story explores the pressures surrounding fertility and the self-doubt that comes with societal expectations.
By presenting both viewpoints, the campaign spotlighted real societal pressures and reminded audiences that family, happiness, and trust are not fixed endpoints, but an evolving journey.
Results
- Nearly 30M views and 4M+ likes across platforms.
- 40+ media stories, generating over US$1M in media value
- Became the most popular and shared film in Taiwan, letting Sinyi Realty continue to lead issues and create discussions.
- Sinyi Realty continues to be the most trusted brand in the real estate market.
Episode-specific outcomes:
- Episode 1 introduced the now-popular term “the age of doubting marriage,” dominating Google search results and sparking an online “big confession” encouraging young people to pursue their own version of happiness.
- Episode 2 ignited widespread discussion among influencers and celebrities, inspiring public reflections on the meaning of family and parenthood.
Because real estate agents don’t just sell houses, they help people find a place built on trust and love.
A place called home.
Innovating to Impact
At a time when Taiwan is grappling with rising divorce rates, declining birth rates, and growing uncertainty around marriage, Sinyi Realty chose not to sell houses but to spark a cultural conversation about what truly builds a home. Through a cinematic storytelling series that explored doubt, pressure, love, and rebuilding trust from both the woman’s and the man’s perspective, the brand reframed real estate as something far deeper than property.
